Service Staff:
The Natural
Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is a Federal Agency to
help farmers and landowners implement conservation practices on
their land. NRCS provides leadership in a partnership
effort to help conserve, maintain, and improve our natural
resources and environment. Members of the NRCS staff
serving Meade County are:

Conservation District Board of
Supervisors:
The Meade County
Conservation District is made up of seven board members who are
elected from the county. The District works in partnership
with the Natural Resources Conservation Service in addressing a
broad spectrum of resource concerns, erosion control, flood
prevention, water conservation and use, wetlands, ground water,
water quality and quantity, non point source pollution, forest
land protection, wildlife, recreation, waste water management
and community development. The District meets monthly to
develop programs and discuss activities and events that effect
soil and water conservation. Members of the Board of
